In 1990, Aussie rockers Midnight Oil scored a number one hit on both the Mainstream Rock and Alternative Rock charts with Blue Sky Mine. It was their first number one single on either chart even though their biggest hit worldwide was 1987’s Beds Are Burning, which was their biggest hit on the Hot 100 chart when it peaked at number 17.
