On March 24, 1999, three of the greatest female singers of all time, Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, and Linda Ronstadt performed their version of Neil Young’s After The Gold Rush live on the Late Show with David Letterman.
The song was from their album Trio II, which was their second collaboration together. The album was released on February 9, 1999, and they released After the Gold Rush as a single in April 1999. At the 42nd Annual Grammy Awards in 2000, After the Gold Rush won the Grammy for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals.
