In 1995, The Smashing Pumpkins released their third studio album titled Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. The album produced five top ten singles on the Alternative Airplay chart as well as four top 40 singles on the Hot 100 chart. The fourth single released was Tonight, Tonight, which peaked at number 36 on the Hot 100 chart and numbers five and four on the Alt Airplay and Mainstream Rock charts respectively.
