In 1992, Stone Temple Pilots released their debut album Core. The album was a huge hit on the Billboard Album chart, peaking at number three. The three singles released from the album were all top 30 hits on the Mainstream Rock charts, with Sex Type Thing peaking at number 23, Plush topping the chart at number one, and Creep peaking at number two in 1993.
