For the first few years of the ’90s, hair bands were still alive and well. One of those bands, Mr. Big, scored a number one hit with To Be With You, which spent three weeks at number one in 1992. They followed it up with a top 20 hit on the Hot 100 chart for Just Take My Heart. They scored one more top 40 single on the Hot 100 chart with their cover of Wild World from 1993, and then their ride on the charts was over thanks to the emergence of grunge rock.

Lonestar – ‘Amazed’ Music Video from 1999

Lonestar’s Amazed was a number one hit on the Country charts in 1999, and in 2000, it was re-released and hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making it one of the biggest hits of the late ’90s, early 2000’s!

They followed up Amazed with four number one country hits in a row for Smile, What About Now, Tell Her, and I’m Already There. All four of those songs were also top 40 hits on the Hot 100 chart as well. That’s amazing, no pun intended!

The album has sold over 25 million records worldwide and topped the US album chart as well as numerous other album charts around the world. The first single released from the album was the title track, …Baby One More Time. The song was released as a single on September 28, 1998, and it hit number one on almost every chart in the world, selling over 10 million copies worldwide.

She released four more singles from the album. Sometimes, (You Drive Me) Crazy, Born to Make You Happy (Europe only), and From the Bottom of My Broken Heart. All were hits worldwide, with (You Drive Me) Crazy being the only one that cracked the top ten, peaking at number ten on the Hot 100 charts in 1999.
