In 1993, The Breeders released their second album titled Last Splash. All three singles from the album were top 30 hits on the Alt Rock charts, including a number two hit for the debut single Cannonball. The second and third singles, Divine Hammer and Saints, peaked at number 28 and 12 respectively.
The Breeders was formed in 1989 by then-bassist of the Pixies, Kim Deal as a side project with Tanya Donelly, guitarist for the rock band Throwing Muses.
