In 1993, Primus scored their first and only top ten hit on the Alternative Airplay chart with My Name is Mud, the first single released from their Pork Soda album. In 1994 while performing the song live at Woodstock ’94, the band started getting pelted with mud while performing the song. They stopped about a minute into the song, and lead singer Les Claypool said, “Well I opened a big-ass can of worms with that one, didn’t I? The song is called ‘My Name Is Mud’, but keep the mud to yourselves you son-of-a-bitch.” Classic…
