Con Air was a huge hit in 1997 taking in over $224 million on a budget of $75 million. It also earned Oscar nominations for Best Sound and Best Original Song for How Do I Live, performed by Trisha Yearwood. It had an all-star cast featuring Nicolas Cage, John Cusack, John Malkovich, Ving Rhames, and the always entertaining Steve Buscemi, who played Garland “The Marietta Mangler” Greene, a notorious serial killer. In this scene towards the end of the movie, the plane is about to crash land on the strip in Vegas, and Garland is as cool as cucumber as he sings “He’s got the whole world, in his hands.”
