In 1990, Bel Biv DeVoe released their debut album Poison, which produced five top ten R&B hits including two number one singles on the R&B chart. The first single, Poison is their most popular song. It peaked at number three on the Hot 100 chart, number one on the R&B chart, and number seven on the Dance chart. Poison was ranked number four on the Billboard Year-End chart for 1990.
