In 1989, Jane Child released her self-titled debut album, and the second single released from the album, Don’t Wanna Fall in Love was a huge hit worldwide. In 1990, it peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart as well as number six on the Billboard R&B chart. She had one other minor dance hit in 1994 when All I Do peaked at number 25 on the Billboard Dance charts, but she’ll forever be linked to her first big hit.
