It was no secret that Carson had hoped his good friend Letterman would get the job, as did Letterman. That’s why this clip is so awesome. I loved Carson. On the other hand in all the year’s Letterman had his show, I can’t think of a single thing he said that was funny. We are all entitled to our opinions. To me, he had the humor of a 5-year-old!
